  • Decline stage

Investment Process

Our investment process is streamlined in order to ensure effective due diligence, timely approval and execution of investment opportunities.

Deal Origination

Investment opportunities are sourced by directors, management or investment team either through subsidiary and associate companies and other networks.

Due Diligence

The investment team conducts a business and financial performance analysis of the potential investees based on the submitted business plan, historic financial statements, and financial projections. The investment team and management holds meetings and conducts interviews with investees or key staff in order to understand the businesses’ growth potential and challenges.

Structuring & Negotiation

The management and investment team is mandated to negotiate for the best terms that are in the interest of both NAM-MIC Holdings and the investees.

All investment opportunities by NAM-MIC Holdings are approved by the Board upon the recommendation of the Investment Committee which is a sub-committee of the Board.

Transaction Closure

Upon approval by Board, the necessary agreements such as shareholders and sale of shares or subscription agreements relating to the transaction are drafted and signed.

Investment Monitoring and Evaluation

The investment team periodically reviews the performance of the investees by obtaining management accounts and reports and feedback from directors representing NAM-MIC Holdings on Boards of investees. Discussions are also held with management and key staff of investees.

The selling back of shares to the investee or other existing shareholders is the usual exit mechanism for NAM-MIC Holdings.
